LL Circular by Laurenz Brunner

While LL Akkurat dealt with aspects of Swiss Modernism, his new typeface LL Circular was initially dedicated to the pursuit of geometric purity: a Grotesk based on the principles of circle, triangle and square. He’s not the first. Ever since Paul Renner’s unsurpassed Futura (1927), type designers have obsessed over this problem: Kabel (1927), Neuzeit Grotesk (1928), Vogue (1930), Avant Garde (1968), Avenir (1988) and a string of others come to mind.

~Whats up with these Germanic cultures always trying to purify shit?~

^LOL

Immigration, a lexicon. You’re a ‘migrant’ when you’re very poor; ‘immigrant’ when you’re not so poor; and ‘expat’ when you’re rich.

futurelab 2030 is a collective dedicated to envisioning the road ahead. What does the future have in store for us? By utilizing a research-based focus, we explore the ways in which emerging technology can be used to solve real-world problems. Through the use of scenario-building, we provide alternatives to unsustainable patterns in today’s global discourse.

We rethink the world’s possibilities, we ask questions, we challenge the norm. We are futurelab.

I still cringe when someone in their 30s uses the word “fail” the way people in their teens used it maybe 5 years ago.

The wedding night by Mohammadreza Momeni

There’s something to be said of how George Takei has used the internet and “meme culture” to not only regain popularity among younger audiences (and become relevant again in general) but to also express his views on life in a way that gets young people to actually listen.

Its absolutely remarkable how often I see his posts shared on my Facebook feed.

Basically, just tell us jokes on Tumblr and Facebook and we have your full attention.

Oh my goodness, someone come over here and help me build this model.

Ten years from now, industrial design students are going to laugh at my generation for having to sand and paint their models.

É pra fazer-se entender.

O papel de design é a de ilustrar e representar a complexidade de um sistema numa maneira mais compreensível, e também de representar o valor acrescentado que dá ao produto/sistema para a empresa.
